Super speedy fast

What a crazy, busy week! What do you guys all think of the new TV season so far? Really quick, my 30-second impressions of some of the new shows:

* Dirty Sexy Money is a lot better than I thought it would be. Peter Krause, of course, is awesome.

* Big Shots is COMICALLY bad. I didn't see the second episode, but the pilot was sooo horrible and cliche. It was so bad, it was funny. Oh, Bobby Donnell! Michael Vaughn! You deserve so much more!

* Private Practice is stupid. I haven't even gotten through a full episode yet. It doesn't hold my attention and I don't care about the characters, except Addison and maybe Tim Daly. I basically can't watch unless they're on the screen.

And finally ...

Pushing Daisies is adorable! A-DOR-able. I don't know if it can keep it up every week, but so far it is cute, cute, cute. It's sweet and charming and unlike anything else on TV. (Hopefully delaying the premiere of CSI: Timbuktu for another year.)

Hope you're all having a good weekend! More later!

you forgot ot best one of all: Friday Night Lights.

no one is allowed to complain about bad writing in television today unless they watch this one. this one will make you realize what we have been missing. it's like the great boyfriend after all the sucky ones.

I was just talking about new shows, but I LOVE Friday Night Lights! It is soooo good. I guarantee if you watch it, you will love it.

I haven't seen the new shows, but Swishy, you weren't lying when you said that I'd die when I saw the premiere of FNL this season.

Oh. My. God.

Why can't it be on every day?

I'm so hoping we get Pushing Daisys! For us - we've just got the next season of America's Next Top Model, and Criminal Minds is back, YAY!!!!

I totally agree with your assessment of Big Shots. I was so sad because I really wanted to like it. No, I wanted to love it. Or at least lust it. But no.

Pushing Daisies was cute. Like a Dr. Seuss book. I'm just said they can't even hug. :o(

Not only am I said they can't hug, I'm sad, too.

I liked Daisies too...thought it was cute, but I don't think it can last long. Everything else? meh....I'd rather read a book! It's all just so boring!

Pushing Daisies is my new favorite. Love, love LOVED it,, and I didn't think I would.

The only other one I've watched is Private Practice, and I don't love it.

I agree with Patti on FNL...great writing, and I love the way it's shot and directed (this coming from a director's daughter...it's what I notice).

I agree about Daisies and Dirty Money. Donald Sutherland hasn't changed much over the years. I just started catching up on FNL through the videos of the first season. It's really good!

i was out walking my dog one day and met the 'mom' from Friday Night Lights. she was walking her dog too. very nice. they filmed the show at a school in austin. she was cool, so i watched an episode of the show. it was great! but, i can never find it on TV, so i haven't seen it again.

the bionic woman was really lame. really. the Office is still hysterical.

you know, they only started 'Private Practice' bc everyone had already slept with everyone else on Grey's Anatomy...they had no where else to go with that, so they had to move one of em out to California.

When are they going to put Seinfeld back on the air? i could use some new episodes :)

What? No comment on Grey's? I'm totally diggin' it this season - well, except for Izzie healing a deer. Actually, Izzie needs to wise-up or she's going to be lynched by her interns.

I've had the same disappointment with Private Practice. It ticks me off, too, since Tim Daly needs to be on my television screen 24/7/365.

So sad to hear about Big Shots. I couldn't watch since I heard so many bad things. Poor Vaughn.

I've been a bit underwhelmed by Dirty Sexy Money. None of the characters are really doing it for me yet except for Donald Sutherland's, and I may be missing the subtlety that the TWOP recapper claims. Also, I've said this quite a bit, but to set up a good love triangle, it doesn't help to have Peter Krause's wife be 8,000 times hotter than that stupid Karen.

Pushing Daisies was classic Bryan Fuller. Not as good as Dead Like Me, but almost nothing is. And yes, unlike nothing on TV. Funny you said delaying CSI: Name Your City. I'd say nice that it's delaying The Laguna Hills Physical Challenge. Love Chi McBride. Kristen Chenowith annoys me.

Chuck is growing on me a bit if they'd just ditch the best friend. And Josh Schwartz.

Private Practice is color-by-numbers awful. I do, however, know of some brave souls that have been tackling it head on. :)

Best show on TV right now (besides FNL) is Damages.

You all have SUCH GOOD TASTE IN TV!!! We need to start having Pushing Daisies/Friday Night Lights parties.

I'm feeling so left out! I haven't watched Friday Night Lights. I'm obviously going to have to check it out! We've had DVR issues & I haven't been able to see Pushing Daisys yet. I totally intended to, & now hearing how great it is, I'm going to HAVE to. Thanks for the recommendations!!

What about Caveman? I thought it was going to be totally stupid, but it actually was quite funny.

I tried watching Pushing Dasies, since everyone talks about it and I just didn't get it. Maybe it had to do with the fact that my tv kept messing up, so I'd miss lines here and there.

I still love The Office. Heroes is good, too. I'm just waiting for CBS to cancel something so Jericho will come back on.

my hubby totally loves FNL, I peek in on it, but I don't watch it regularly.

I haven't even BOTHERED with private practice since I'm underwhelmed with grey's. if somethign major doesn't catch me this season, I'm done with it. LOL

I missed Pushing Daisies...maybe I'll watch the first epi online tomorrow on my lunch hour....

and I'm still on the fence about DSM. It seems too formulaic to me... and the characters are overkill.... I still have to watch the second episode... its on my dvr to be watched....

Have you watched Kville? I'm curious what everyone else around the country thinks of it.
