Blue jean baby

I want new jeans. I found this website, SeenOn.com, that tells you exactly what clothes the actors are wearing on your favorite shows. It tells you what episode everything was worn, where to buy it, EVERYTHING! (It also has other stuff, like the dishes they use, the music they use, stuff like that.) So, anyway, you know I went through all 500 entries for Grey's Anatomy. I didn't even bother looking at Ellen Pompeo's clothes since she's a bony little thing, but I looked at a lot of Izzie and Callie's stuff and it made me want a cute new pair of jeans SO BAD! But it's so hard to tell how stuff really looks, because everything gets altered to fit them perfectly.

So this is my big question: What's your favorite pair of jeans, and where did you get them? My favorite pair are these flare jeans from the Gap, but unfortunately they were DISCONTINUED last year. (Bastards!) I dry clean them to make them last longer, but obviously I need to branch out since those jeans no longer exist. So help me! (BTW, I do NOT wear straight leg pants. EVER! I like wide leg and flare.)

In other news, I've been asked to be part of a two-hour in-studio radio show tomorrow afternoon. I don't really want to do it. I've done radio interviews before, but those are only, like, 10 or 15 minutes. They're a breeze. TWO HOURS, though, is a little scary. I mean, seriously, I can talk forever, but TWO HOURS! I just hope it's not a train wreck. If it is, I'll have to figure out how to post audio. Ha.

Hi, I randomly came across your blog...just wanted to say thanks for the great SeenOn link. Now, I'll probably waste too much time on that site. And I know how hard it is to shop for jeans. I haven't found a good pair since they discontinued my favorite too. Take care!

biotress--you'll be too busy cracking up on Swish's blog instead of going to the SeenOn site. Consider yourself truly fortunate to have stumbled across the Swishter... You will fall in love with her, in a non-sexual, non Ellen-Portia-Rosie way, of course, just like I did!

: )

Ha ha ha HA ... Awwww, Manic, that's why you're my BBFF!!! You're the best!

jeans...love 'em and hate 'em. My favorite pair used to be Levis 501 button fly, but that was MANY years ago...now I ahve a bootcut pair of Levis that I got from walmart. YES! Walmart! I love 'em!

swish, you have me totally baffled...what the heck do you do that you give radio interviews?!! And be on the sidelines of NFL games?! ;)

I'm with Beth. If I could actually wear my jeans, my favorites would be a pair of Lee's I bought at WalMart. Just call me little miss fashion. :o)

And still being with Beth, what is it you do?? Whatever it is, it sounds fascinating. And will this be a national, syndicated radio program by any chance?

LOL Beth I have the same pair of bootcut levi's from walmart. Too funny.

And yes inquiring minds want to know what you do swishy????

OMG! I think we might have the same favorite, yet sadly discontinued, jeans! Mine are also flared jeans from the Gap. They're low-waisted, but not enough to necessitate any overly specialized underwear and have just enough flare to somehow make me look a teensy bit thinner. Now? Unavailable! I'm in the market too but not sure where to turn. If I stumble onto something promising I'll be sure to pass on the tip.

Oh swishy...you wear flared, wide leg jeans?

I am going to have to terminate my link to your blog.

OMG...I'm just kidding! I love stopping by for a good laugh, you're the best! It's just I like straight leg better ;)

I'll have to check out that site...I've always wondered about the stuff actors use on tv.

They were called "boy cut" and they were gap -- no longer available...they were miracle jeans.

This has nothing to do with jeans (my favorite pair is from Eddie Bauer and used to be my brother's, but for whatever reason is much softer than my other Eddie Bauer jeans), but did anyone else pick up that "Dead Meredith" had a NY accent? When she was trying to "operate" on Abby Morgan (that actress' character from Dawson's Creek), she kept saying, "I have to find the SAWWWWWWWCE of the bleeding." No one has backed me up on this, but I swear I'm not crazy. Maybe I just have an annoyance trigger for NY accents much more than your average.

Jeans, sigh, just when I thought it was safe to get out of bed. I wear Ralph Lauren flared cut with a bit of stretch and I.N.C.'s same cut. I wear them in petites. I have oompa loompa legs translation I have very short legs and a normal body, I drive sitting on top of my steeringwheel and hold on with my toes

My favorite jeans are ones I can put on without falling out of my wheelchair.

What an insensitive question.

Wasn't it you who did the post on all the things you love being discontinued??
I am short, was pretty round - less so now but still have the mommy body ... I like Old Navy and Gap because they are usually less expensive and when they say short, they are actually short and not well ... less than short.
ANs Manic is, of course, so right on about the Love O' Swishy .. she is fantabulous!

Okay Swishy, you are making me jealous right now talking about jeans...especially since I am 8 months pregnant and haven't been able to fit in to my pre pregnancy jeans for at least 4 months! Oh those were the days. I can't wait to get back in to my favorite pair again...they are Seven jeans that I got at Burlington Coat Factory . Normally they are like $150, but I got them for $35...and they are AWESOME!! They make your butt look so cute. And I definitely agree about the skinny jeans. No one, except super skinny size 00 can wear those. I even watched a show the other day who said the same thing...they definitely are not for everyone.
P.S. I usually try on like 50 pair of jeans before I find ones I actually like.

Jeans.... Hate shopping for them so I'm useless....

And what is it that you do??? Manic says your famous.... so come on out yourself..... LOL

Those are the jeans, Karen! I am SO MAD they got discontinued! And Trish, you must have a hot little body :)

Beavis, Meredith TOTALLY had an accent there. People were talking about it on Television Without Pity. She's from Boston, so ... I guess that's it.

I'm not sure if I can say what I do ... hmmm. It's not like a big secret, but ... maybe if you email me, I'll tell you? I don't know. I have to think about it!

OK, wait. You're going to be on the radio?! You're famous girl! That's amazing!! I wish I could hear it. Post a link to it - OK?

Oh and my new favorite jeans are from CAbi. (Carol Anderson By Invitation.) It's sort of like Tupperware for clothes. Pretty cute, but kinda pricey. I like them because I actually did drop a little weight and they make me feel skinny!!! Yay!

Hugs from Brewtown!

Swishy - this is my first time visiting. Can I just say, had I known how much celebrity/t.v. watching smut we had in common, I would have been here a lot sooner??

My fave jeans are Old Navy stretch, Just Below the Waist, boot cut. I haven't worn my fave flares in weeks now because my supervisor (why am I listening to her?) told me they were out of style?? Is this true??

At 3:22 AM, Blogger Swishy said...

Flares are NOT out of style! That will NEVER happen, not as long as there are girls with little booties walking around. Wear them with pride!!!

my favorite jeans are Levi's 515 Noveau Boot Cut...

available at your favorite JCPenney store!
